Abby Rose Mark
Welcome! Dumpster Mermaid is creator Abby Rose Mark’s brainchild/ amalgam of her and her collaborators’ various TV/film/media works– from writing to producing to directing to acting, to some other yet to be discovered creative form. DM is an all-medium-encompassing production collective. (Who knows what might happen– just leaving room for exploration here, you know?)
Abby has produced/directed short films and comedy sketches, written sci-fi features and TV spec scripts, as well as a few short plays, and has acted in/lent her voice-over talents to short films, webseries, commercials and theater productions. She also enjoys doing Stand-Up comedy and Improv. She is currently developing a comedic webseries, and aspires to be a creator/showrunner on an original series she can have a supporting, quirky acting role in.
Abby also works as a freelance production assistant for both TV and film projects, and covers different departments at Warner Bros. as a temp assistant. She most recently wrapped on CBS comedy pilot “Welcome to the Neighborhood,” starring Cedric the Entertainer.
Although she’s originally from Chicago, Abby currently resides in (usually) sunny Los Angeles. She is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California, where she studied both Dramatic and Cinematic Arts.
